Thursday, September 30
| 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Gala Preview and Reception $75 | Register Now » The Festival opens with a Gala Preview and Reception. Be the first to enjoy the wonderful floral arrangements in the Cathedral Church and in the Event Center, where the Little Flower Festival and Sacred Treasures exhibits also open for preview. A silent auction, special music in the Cathedral and gourmet refreshments will surely delight the senses. |
Friday, October 1
All exhibits are free and open at 9:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
The exhibits in the Cathedral will not be available for viewing during times of services on Friday and Saturday, October 1 & 2, from 12:00 p.m., until 12:45 p.m. Please visit the Little Flower Festival in the Event Center (Lower Level) or join us for the 12:10 p.m. Mass in the Cathedral.

Kiwi has studied both domestically and in France. She has served as a judge on many occasions for floral shows and exhibits. Kiwi’s Workshop/Demonstration will explore the basics for floral preparation as well as design technique. You won’t want to miss this lively presentation by one who has become a favorite of the Cathedral Festival of Flowers. |

George Niederauer has granted permission for us to anticipate the celebration of the Solemnity of our beloved St. Francis this weekend in the Cathedral. |

Sunday, October 3

| 11:00 a.m. | Solemn mass for the Solemnity of St. Francis of Assisi The Feast of St. Francis, October 4, is a very special day at the Cathedral. In anticipation of the feast this year the Archbishop has granted permission for us to celebrate the great Saint’s feast on Sunday this year. St. Francis was born in 1181 and died in 1226, founded the Franciscan Order. He dedicated his life to repairing the church by living a life of a poor man and in harmony with all creation. He is the patron saint of the City of San Francisco, of Italy and of all who work to protect the environment. Music leadership for the Mass will be provided by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of the Cathedral Music Director Dr. Christoph Tietze on the Great Rufatti Organ. |
